International Escorts’ 3Ts Charity Drive
The Rose of Tralee International Festival has selected 3Ts (Turning the Tide of Suicide) to be one of its Festival charity partners.
Through its association with 3Ts the Festival hopes to heighten awareness of suicide amongst the Roses’ and Escorts’ age group, and the avenues of assistance that 3Ts and its 1Life initiative can offer.
The 1Life Suicide Prevention Helpline (Freephone 1 800 24 7 100) is a 24-hour suicide prevention helpline for anyone in suicidal distress. Professional counsellors and highly trained volunteers respond to calls 7-days a week to support callers in need of help. 1Life is a joint venture partnership between two charities, The 3Ts and Console, and is a subsidiary of The 3Ts (Reg Charity No: CHY15710).
Services offered by the 1Life helpline include telephone counselling, face-to-face counselling, cyber counselling and texting support (text “Help” to 51444 – standard text rates apply).
At this year’s Festival, the Escorts will undertake a special fundraising campaign by selling raffle lines to raise funds to support the delivery of 3Ts and 1Life services.

How to Become An Escort

To be eligible to be a Rose Escort, you must:
Be between 21 and 30 years of age.
Be unmarried or never been married.
Be born in Ireland or of Irish origin by virtue of one of your ancestors having been born in Ireland.
Be available for Selection events and if selected be available for the International Festival events
In 2010, Escorts were recruited through our 32 Irish Rose Centres with the winning Escort from each county going directly to the 2010 International Festival in August as an International Escort.
The selection of 2010 International Escorts was run in conjunction with the Rose Selections taking place in every county in Ireland.
