Skyfest returns to the Festival for 2011. For a sneak preview visit their website: www.skyfestairshow.com

VOLUNTEERS are sought every year to help co-ordinate and marshal the multitude of events for the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
The duties of the volunteers over the week of the Festival may include: Artist Liaisons, Production & Technical Assistants, Volunteer Supervisors, Performance Stewards and Hospitality Facilitators as well as Park Stewards and the traditional Stage, Parade and Street closure Stewards.
All volunteers will be given Health & Safety training which will run over a half day and will be facilitated by the HSE, Civil Defence, Kerry County Council, Red Cross and the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
Volunteers will be provided with access to a Food Hall while on their breaks. The job comes with a chance to win the ‘Volunteer of the Festival’ award and the privilege of automatic membership to the Volunteers Club and of course the end of Festival ‘Wrap it Up’ Party.
No previous experience is required, but we suggest you read through the application form and Volunteer Policy to make sure you understand what each role requires.
In addition, the following downloadable documents are 2010 Role Descriptions:
Please note that roles and availability may change for 2011.
Visit the Back to Basics website for more information.
The Back to Basics Street Festival is supported by Jigsaw Kerry, a youth mental health initiative which involves the whole community in better supporting young people’s mental health and well-being and which is currently working to bring together the supports which can help young people get through difficult times.
