Your Festival Needs You!

As part of National Volunteer Celebration Week The Rose of Tralee are offering its volunteers a certified Heart Saver AED course covering CPR, Choking, Def. on Friday May 18th from 4pm - 7.30pm Bar 3 in Abbey Inn to conclude with drinks & nibbles. We are limited with participants so please text 086 8389771 if you are interested.

VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help co-ordinate and marshal the multitude of events planned for the 2012 Rose of Tralee International Festival which will take place from Friday 17th until Tuesday 21st of August.

Volunteers will get the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working on a large international Arts and Culture Festival that has a rich and celebrated history.

Volunteers are the life-blood of the Rose of Tralee International Festival and their involvement has grown exponentially as this vibrant annual celebration has gained momentum over the years.

We are looking for individuals to join Teams for Dome, Logistics, Transport & Comms, Safety, Events, Closure, Parks, Hospitality, Security, Air Display & Locals Night events.

All volunteers will be given Health & Safety training which will run over a half day and will be facilitated by the HSE, Civil Defence, Kerry County Council, Red Cross and the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Volunteers will be provided with access to a Food Hall while on their breaks. The job comes with a chance to win the ‘Volunteer of the Festival’ award and the privilege of automatic membership to the Volunteers Club and of course the end of Festival ‘Wrap it Up’ Party. Most of all, however, they are an integral part of something special.

Apart from being 18 years of age or over, there are no special requirements, or stipulations or previous experience required to become a Festival Volunteer, just a desire to help the Festival in its celebrations and a willingness to be an ambassador for Tralee and the Rose of Tralee International Festival for one week in August.

If you would like to be part of this unique event please contact the Festival office by phone
