A significant increase in financial support is required to provide this year's huge programme of street entertainment and Festival organisers are asking local businesses for their support, with every Euro contributed set to be invested directly into staging so many events on Tralee’s streets. IT’S the beginning of August, the Dome is up, the lights are up, and excitement is building ahead of the start of Kerry’s most important annual international tourism event, the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
The ultimate Girls' Night Out, the Rose of Tralee Fashion Show on Sunday 19th August, is getting a make-over with guest model, Alannah Beirne and Erika Fox aka Retro Flame to Judge the Best Dressed Lady and Designer of the Year Awards. ONE of the most popular events at the Rose of Tralee Festival is getting a make-over with a major emphasis on providing the ultimate girls’ night out experience at this year’s Fashion Show on Sunday 19th August.
In revealing details of this year’s Family Town entertainment, the Festival organisers are delighted to announce that Tesco will sponsor the activities in Tralee Town Park from Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st August. TESCO Family Town at the 2018 Rose of Tralee International Festival will be bigger than ever with the introduction of a spectacular Luminarium in Páirc an Phiarsaigh and a new wellness programme for kids with Aidan O’Mahony.

'The concept of offering these activities is to provide a choice for both the domestic and internatitonal visitor to our Festival' said Festival CEO Anthony O'Gara. 'Traditionally we have been focussed on providing a packed schedule of events centred around the Festival, however we understand that there are many visitors who want to make the Festival their main holiday activity but they would also like to be offered a choice of experincing other activities, attractions and tours while in Tralee'.
