THE Festival Dome has been the venue for many memorable nights out for locals and visitors during the history of the Rose of Tralee International Festival and this year’s top night out will celebrate the sound of the 80’s on Saturday 24th August.
Abbaesque, Ireland’s top tribute act to the legendary Abba, and Kerry’s favourite DJ Botty, will bring you a night of fun and nostalgia in the Festival Dome.

Following the success of last year’s Oktoberfest event in the Dome, festivalgoers and party animals from far and wide are already planning to make this their main night out during this year’s 60th anniversary of the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Who remembers the Children’s Show in the Dome?
It was the go-to event for youngsters on the Saturday afternoon of the Festival for many years with the Incredible Hulk, Magicians, Entertainers and Sweet Treats for everyone in the audience!!
How versatile is the Dome as a venue…with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers?
- Friday, the Festival Dome will be laid out to cater for 1500 people to enjoy a 5-course banquet with a live band and disco
- Saturday, the Dome will be transformed to host the 80’s Night where Abbaesque and DJ Botty will entertain hundreds of people on a nostalgia-filled night of great music
- Sunday, it becomes the venue for Ireland’s biggest and first annual Autumn Winter Fashion Show with over 1300 people in attendance
- Monday and Tuesday, the Dome becomes a theatre venue for the Rose of Tralee TV shows before being transformed again into a humming disco venue on both nights
